Breathwork & Cold Water Exposure Under the Stars

  • Cowslip Meadows Laughton Lutterworth, Leicestershire LE17 6QF (map)

Breathwork and Cold water exposure session with a twist, if you have tried an ice bath before and managed to find the peace that it can bring, or if it’s your first come and try it under the light of the stars for a completely different and even more relaxing experience under the nights sky!

This 2.5 hour introduction to cold water exposure is perfect for those new to cold water, wanting to dip their toe in for the first time, this is also beneficial for those more experienced cold water immerses to develop their skills with a professional.

The benefits of cold water exposure are endless, boosting your immune system, improved circulation, better quality sleep, more energy, reduced inflammation, improved metabolic function, better resilience to stress, reduced anxiety and depression.

Over the 2.5 hours you will be taught breathwork techniques that create energy and heat in the body to help you brave the cold. These techniques are able to help you navigate challenges in your daily life and create resilience within you.

The sauna will be fired up too, to further enhance the hot/cold exposure elements. There will also be a selection of hot drinks available and our cosy underfloor heated studio to help you acclimatise and fully relax into this experience.

Disclaimer for Breathwork & Cold Water Participants

Before engaging in SOMA Breath practices, please carefully read the following contraindications. SOMA Breath and breath retention should not be practiced by individuals with severe or critical diseases or infections, COPD-II or COPD-III, organ failure or late-stage terminal illness, pregnancy, cancer, epilepsy, pacemakers or cardiac arrhythmia, uncontrollable hypertension, or tinnitus. Additionally, refrain from practicing SOMA Breath on a full stomach, while driving or operating machinery, or in water.

If you have any of these conditions, it is advised not to do breath retention. However, the rhythmic breathing practices are still safe and effective. It is also advised that under 16’s do not do the breath retention.
